About Eric Leikam

Eric Leikam (Ly-kem) is an American voice and film actor, musician, songwriter,  radio personality and author. He resides in the suburban enclave of Clear Lake near Houston, Texas.

Eric's acting credits include feature films such as SATX, Johnny Frank Garrett’s Last Word and the forthcoming Tooth Shop Fiasco.

In Eric's voice acting career, he has been: an airline pilot, a supervillain, a doofus sportscaster, an entire planet,  a doomed termite from New Jersey and Death. Highlights include: DC Universe Online, Total Wine & More, Terminix, Chevrolet, Suzuki, and more.

Eric was named by MyTexasMusic.com's Lucky Boyd as "One of the great Texas songwriters."  He is known throughout Austin and around Texas not only for his all-star Texas rock band Brother E Train,  but for playing with Rockin’ Gospel Project at the famous Hippie Church in Austin, Texas since 2007. Eric has toured and played in the US and Europe with Shelly Knight, Sharon Bourbonnais, The Korkus and others. Eric plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards.

As a broadcaster he is currently with iHeart Media’s WOAI San Antonio and iHeart’s 24/7 News network. He is heard daily on radio stations throughout Texas and Oklahoma. He's been a popular air personality in Austin, Houston and New Orleans. Some of the stations he worked for include 97 Rock Houston, WRNO-FM New Orleans, KLBJ and KGSR Austin.

As a writer and author, Eric has published a book called Soul Blurts. He's written album reviews and interviews, articles and columns for several publications in Austin.  He has written show prep for other air talents. He's in the early stages of  developing an Adult Swim-style animated series. He's written screenplays, sketches, commercial copy, promo copy, PSAs and more.

Eric's wife Ruth is the inspiration for a handful of his most memorable songs; interestingly enough recorded and performed by his former wife Shelly Knight. They are the proud parents of Antone, a multi-talented musician and up-and-coming radio talent.
